I always win because I am focused
Pat Summit once said, “Winning is fun… sure. But winning is not the point. Wanting to win is the point. Not giving up is the Point and never letting up is the point, never being satisfied with what you’ve done is the point.”
There surely is more to everything we do in this life and deciding to be a winner means you should make a point in your life to work for it.
It is pretty much fun to win but the actual winning is not the point, the main point is to learn that winning takes Precedence, and over all to realize there’s no grey area, and no ‘almosts’ as the ‘almosts’ always does not count.
We grope over loses in this life mostly because we do not take into considerations what we call the ALMOSTS. For example I almost won the ticket, I almost caught the bus, I almost got him, amongst others. This is mostly so because we don’t try to do the right things at the right time, those things may be just little things we overlook all the time but they end up to be the difference between our wins and our loses.
Timing is key, it is wonderful if you ever won at the right time. Most people look at winning in the sense of always being first, but to be a winner means you should be better than you’ve ever done before. Be better than your yesterday, you should never stop trying. No you can’t give up, no one ever won when they gave up. You need to keep trying, keep going, and keep working. No one ever won when they gave up.
Never giving up meant you must accept the challenge knowing perfectly that there are always grander challenges to confront, and you a true winner needs the courage to embrace it of the Challenges as and when they come.
It takes Vission, alot of work and the realization of it being a Journey. Winning is not something that happens suddenly, if it did the world wouldn’t have heard of Usain Bolt, the world would’nt have heard of Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, Ngolo Kante and the other greats you’ve ever heard of. Winning is something that builds physically, mentally everyday that you train and every night that you dream.
It is a Must to Put your heart in to it, You should and Must want it, Babe Ruth said “Yesterday’s home runs don’t win today’s games. It must start from within and regardless of how you feel inside, you always must try to look like a winner, even if you are blind.
In one of his Nuggets Frank Okanta Ankra said “I always win because I am focused.”
To win you must work for it. Plan for it. Work at it, and remember no one would ever push you to win until you pushed yourself. Want to be a winner take this with you.
